Lisa asks…

Attempting the WILD technique for inducing lucid dreaming, afraid of experiencing sleep paralysis?

I read that listening to theta binaural beats for an amount of time will put me into REM sleep quickly. I know that keeping your mind awake while allowing the rest of you to fall asleep could induce sleep paralysis but what do those chances amount to if I simply listen to binaural beats? and will the probability of having a lucid dream decrease if I don’t keep my mind awake?

Binaural Beats answers:

Binaural beats are safer than what you think. I listen to them all the time, in fact a friend of mine recommend me this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8PoJgGoCY4 and Im totally hooked to it lol

Susan asks…

I wake up after Binaural Beats.?

So, for 5 days now, I have been listening to Binaural Beats now with my headphones. It’s called Neuroscape on youtube. Search it up, and you’ll find it. The song was set to repeat( It’s like 90 minutes long) so that it would play for the whole night. For only two nights so far, I woke up at around between 3 and 4. I don’t know why this happens. But everytime I did wake up, all I did was just put the headphones down on the ground since u know, I was grumpy and just wanted sleep. But at that time, humans aren’t much aware and just want to sleep at a time like that. So now, I’m wondering. Is that the time when I am actually lucid? Like when I wake up to put down my headphones?

Binaural Beats answers:

Nope, you are not lucid dreaming when that happens. You’ve hit that barrier wall whereby your body needs to re-adjust itself into a more comfortable position just prior to going into a deep sleep. Thus it feels the need to remove your headphones. You might want to try pillow speakers or something that doesn’t need to be removed. An perhaps add 15 minutes of silence in between the audio loop, to allow your mind to go deeper during the silence part.

Be sure during your waking life to ask yourself a lot “Am I dreaming right now?” and look around wondering. Even though you are not dreaming (because you are wide awake), this habit will tend to trickle over into your dreams. Thus helping to promote the state of being lucid. A day will come when you are dreaming and you find yourself asking “am I dreaming right now?” and then as you look around it will be apparent that you are not in your physical world.

A personal (your voice) subliminal recording might be more effective, always speaking in the present moment. Slight heard, but not too loud. “I am now lucid dreaming” “I can control my dreams easily” “I am awake now while I dream” etc

Lizzie asks…

How to induce an OBE?

For most of the times, I tried but nothing seemed to happen because I wasn’t concentrating enough. The last time I tried, I got quite scared because I felt an indescribable sensation, and I felt like I was sinking into my bed – that really scared me and ever since I tried but nothing real has happened..
Serious answers please.

Binaural Beats answers:

Hmm… People have different triggers on how to induce an OBE. For some it comes naturally; for others, they need some sort of “help” to get them to that state. I would suggest that when you go to sleep, try lying on your back, and try to stay conscious as long as possible while trying to fall asleep at the same time. You’ll begin to notice when you’re falling in between dream world and reality (Sleep Paralysis). When this happens, just simply take control of your body, and “will” yourself to levitate. Some people can do this with ease, while others do not. Just simply practice and eventually you’ll learn to control yourself.

It seems that you’re having trouble trying to induce an OBE, so I would suggest a “trigger” to do this, such as a sound that can induce an OBE when you begin to sleep (binaural beats). These beats are usually used to help relax people and has been proven to help with depression, anxiety, other psychological disorders; but there are others that simply mesh two different sounds together to form some type of harmony, such as the one that I will provide a link for you. I’ve tried a couple and they really do work, but you have to keep practicing. When you’re attempting to induce an OBE, make sure that it’s around a time that doesn’t make you so tired. For most people it’s around 6 or 7 o’ clock, don’t try to have an OBE around 12 o clock at night because you’ll be too tired to even concentrate on trying to stay conscious. Once again, lay flat on your back while doing this, the sounds help, but if you want to do it naturally you can to, but that will take a bit longer to master, stay conscious when your body is trying to fall asleep, and practice on controlling your mind when in this state. Don’t panic and remind yourself that this is completely normal. When you reach that state of Sleep paralysis do not try to move your limbs to snap yourself out of it. This is the ideal state that you need to be in in order to induce an OBE. When you’re in this state practice of trying to “will” yourself to lift up. I will warn you now that when you’re in this state you are also partially in dreamland, do if you see any weird anomalies, beings, creatures, shadows, remind yourself that it’s not real. It’s important to remain calm when in this state as you can easily snap back into either reality or a dream.

Also, if you’re a cannabis user, you can listen to these sounds and have an OBE while awake! (Never tried this because I don’t smoke pot, but my sister does and has tried this successfully.)

Here’s a link to binaural beats:

In order to get the full effect of the sound in the link, you need to make it stereo, to do this just simply add &fmt=18 at the end of the link.

To download the sound to your mp3 player just simply use an online media converter. Google “Media Converter”, click on the first link, and follow the instructions. Simple, fast and easy.

Take Care and hope you have an OBE soon :]

Maria asks…

*URGENT* PLEASE HELP?

I know I have posted this question many times, but people keep telling me to explain everything that happened. This is the last thing I am posting on this subject. If you don’t know what a binaural beat is, its when two slightly different frequencies are presented in each ear (using headphones)

I listened to the beat “theta” (3.9 hz) after I listened to it I actually had negative side effects. While I was listening my leg started to feel numb (this was 3 minutes in) After the session was over (about 7 minutes long) I noticed that my vision changed a little bit. It was a kind ov slightly blurry vision. I went down stairs to get a drink of water, I noticed that the back of my head and the right side of my head felt heavy and I couldn’t move my head freely. A little later on my head started twitching. I thought to myself that these symptoms will probably go away the next day. So I wake up the next day and I noticed that I did not wake up with a morning erection (Don’t mean to get to personal) I thought to myself (hmm… thats a lttle weird) So, a little later on in the day I starting getting severe nausea. The nausea was so bad it was almost unbearable. It lasted until I decided to lie down. When I woke up after the nap. The nausea went away. About 2 days later. I noticed that my sex drive was gone, and its difficult for me to get erections. I also noticed that Im not getting any sensation in my penis. I literally cant feel sex. I also noticed that i’m getting muscle twitches all throughout my body and my fingers keep twitching.

This happened about 2 months ago. I also forgot to mention that I also have no appetite. Do you think this was caused by the binaural beats? The symptoms I am getting now is muscle twitches and no sex drive.

Thank You.

P.S. I am a 16 year old male.

I listen to Subliminal deep calm music album from Real Subliminal(which i got for free on their website Real Sublimial ) instead of listening to binaural beat . .the only binaural i listen to was the one i found out on Youtube for free..it does not have side-effects and it is very calming but i dont have the link now..DONT EVER LISTEN TO BINAURAL BEATS OR BRAINWAVE ENTRAINMENT OR HOLOSYNC OR ANYTHING RELATED..they are not good ..instead prefer natural music like western classic(unchained melody like) soft melody, japanese classic, indian classic, tibetan or buddhist meditation music etc or korean classic …
