A lucid dream is any dream in which one is aware that one is dreaming.

Help with lucid dreams?
I started attempting to lucid dream a few nights ago. Last night I was listening to quiet binaural beats (Theta waves – 7Hz) with headphones on. I was lying on my back and my body started to go numb, then i started to visualise the dream that i wanted to go in to. I knew I was still awake but I started to picture myself flying and it felt really realistic. I felt the wind in my hair and heard it in my ears. This lasted a few seconds but it then faded and I couldn’t maintain that feeling. I tried again and it didn’t seem real, i couldn’t feel the wind or hear it either. I kinda forgot about it and then fell asleep. This morning I didn’t remember dreaming at all. Did I experience the start of a lucid dream? Am I doing anything wrong? I really want to have a lucid dream so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Binaural Beats answers:
You’re fantasizing about what you want to have happen before going to sleep and it is influencing some of your initial dreaming. You don’t control your dreams, no one does. The fad of lucid dreaming will fade in a year or two and we’ll move on to something else.

Astral projection help?
I am having trouble with astral projection. To start off with, I believe I have astral projected many times in my sleep. My dreams are unusual, and I have a lot of false awakenings which sometimes trigger lucid dreams. I have had sleep paralysis before spontaneously, and 2 other times I have almost left my body. These were the symptoms I got:
Rapid Breathing
Increased heart rate
Felt like I was spinning
Heard buzzing
And a few times humming, and I could feel my body seperating. One time I got this vibrating feeling in the back of my head, where your spine begins.
It seems to only happen when I least expect it, and every time I had to stop projecting because the vibrations were just too strong.
When I try to do it consciously, my body feels warm and mildly tingly. Sometimes, I fall asleep but not all the time. I clear my mind as much as possible. I think I get pretty relaxed. And I listen to binaural beats theta for help.
SO WHAT AM I DOING WRONG??
Help all appreciated
@Brad Possessions do not happen due to the silver cord and protective mechanisms. The only thing that you should fear is fear itself

I must disagree with these other answers! I do not think astral projection is dangerous in the least bit. But if it is dangerous it’s because of what you think. If you truly believe that you can get possessed and that bad things can happen you are most likely asking for those events to happen. On the other hand if you trust that astral projection is natural and safe, then it’s fun, loving and a wonderful experience. If you decide that you are interested still in astral projection I have a link to a site that had some decent binaural beats that worked for my friends and I. The thing I like most about this program is it doesn’t require fancy headphones or special equipment to work. Hopefully this helps =)

Lisa asks…
how do i use the other 90 percent of my mind?
Binaural Beats answers:
Some of it is used in different states of consciousness. Learn about lucid dreaming and or astral projection. You can learn to remain conscious even when your brain shifts into different frequencies which would normally filter out the conscious mind. Be warned though, it’s a bit of a Pandora’s box and can disturb your perception of reality if you are not of sound mind. Download (or purchase) a binaural-beat CD to experiment with or a Dream mask to help to induce lucid dreams. Image may be NSFW.
